Disodium Hydrogen Citrate
Cital 100ML syrup contains disodium hydrogen citrate that is mainly used to treat urinary tract infections, painful or difficult urination, kidney stones, urinary acidosis and gout (a form of arthritis characterized by severe pain, redness and tenderness in joints caused due to too much uric acid crystallisation and deposition in your joints). This medicine works by preventing the formation and breaking down of crystals in the kidneys by raising the pH of urine. It helps to form a protective coating on the existing stones and prevent other particles from sticking to its surface and becoming bigger in size. It is also useful in the treatment of the issues that arise due to over secretion of acids in the stomach. However, the uses of this medicine mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which the medication may be prescribed upon your doctor’s discretion.
